Full story:
Okay, so in August, when Kissena had that annual event (4got what # it was, i think 43rd?), I raced on the GT I had just gotten. Well...I did horrible. It was my 1st time on the track, but also what I didn't realize at the time, was that my frame was too small for me as well. I was seriously perpendicular to the ground when in the drops but I thought it was okay since I was being more aerodynamic. Turns out when you sprint and you're hunched over that much you don't generate the full power needed in a sprint (but I probably sucked too???) I was noticing this slowly because my neck was always a lil sore after each race.So after all of my, but one, last place finishes, an older gentleman, in his 70s, comes up to me saying he was watching me and noticed that my bike was too small and that's why I didn't do as well. He said my gearing should be a lil higher as well (I was at 82 but don't know if a bigger really would have helped anyway). We get into a chat and he says how he used to race before (he had two tracks and a road bike). I asked if he had any of his bikes still and he said yea (I'm an inch shorter than him). So I test the waters for a sale and he says next time I'm in Florida with fam, give him a call to see if I like the bikes and I can buy it. Give him a call ask for a price for 1 bike, good deal. I tell Johnathon at City Bikes about the deal and he says I might as well scoop em both up. I call him again, ask him about two, and its more than half less than if I were to buy them both separately (basically a brand new bareknuckle frame built with cheap parts will work out to more than what I paid for both)
. So we schedule it up, my cousin drives 16hours to and fro and now I finally got them after a few months of waiting.
